In a glittering ceremony held in Zurich, on 21st January 2008, Amitabha was the proud receipt of the Outstanding Social Entrepreneurship Award for 2008!

 

The award was jointly Presented by Stephen Brenninkmijer - Board member of Schwab Foundation and Pamela Hartigan - Managing Director of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Switzerland.

 

Presented during the Social Entrepreneurs Summit, this award recognizes those global social entrepreneurs, who, through innovative products are able to find practical solutions to social problems. The award focuses on sustainable solutions that show direct social impact, reach as well as scalability. This award also provides a platform for the winner to become a member of a select Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship’s global network of outstanding social entrepreneurs.
