At the recently held 2004 World Technology Awards, Amitabha Sadangi, Executive Director of International Development Enterprises (India) was nominated in the Social Entepreneurship category and was selected as one of the 5 finalists in this prestigious awards ceremony. Winners and finalist were announced on October 8, 2004, in San Francisco, at the World Technology Awards gala ceremony at San Francisco City Hall at the conclusion of the two-day World Technology Summit. The World Technology Awards honour individuals and corporations from twenty (20) technology-related sectors viewed by their peers as being the most innovative and doing work of the greatest likely long-term significance.
