Awards and Accolades

1) IPE CSR CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AWARDS-2012

The IPE CSR Corporate Governance Awards will attempt to recognise the best practices in CSR. The awards merit recognition to contributions made by an organisation which has made a difference to the people and the community and played a role of responsible citizen.
IDEI has been honoured with "Social Innovation Award" Presented by Institute of Public Enterprise & endorsed by World CSR Congress, World CSR day, CMO Asia & Asian Confederation of Business.

2) IDEI RANKED 75 ON WORLD's TOP 100 BEST NGO's

The Global Journal,  a new publication aimed at opinion leaders and policy makers in the development sector, has just put out its Top 100 Best NGOs in the World and IDEI is ranked at 75!

They started with a list of 1,000, then narrowed it down to 400, then these. (To read more click here)

3) PLASTICON AWARD - 2012

PlastIndia Foundation is the apex body of major associations, organizations and institutions connected with plastics in India. Plasticon Awards are the most prestigious awards, honoured once in 3 years. IDEI has been awarded for its excellence in Contribution to Agriculture recognizing its efforts in use of plastic in agriculture. (To read more click here)

4) THE TECH MUSEUM AWARD – 2010 & 2004

The Tech Museum of Innovation, a non-profit organization, engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and experiencing the technologies affecting their lives and aims to inspire the young to become innovators in the technologies of the future. IDEI has been awarded “The Tech Museum Award” twice; once in the year 2004 for its innovative drip irrigation technology and in 2010 for Treadle Pump.  (To read more click here)

5) ZAYED FUTURE ENERGY PRIZE – 2010 (FINALIST AND SECOND RUNNER UP)

Created in the honour of the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, The Zayed Future Energy Prize (ZFEP) aims to inspire the next generation of global energy innovators, creating solutions for the future. IDEI was selected for its successful deployment of low-cost irrigation technology to farmers in India in 2010. (To read more click here)

6) ASHDEN OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – 2009

Ashden Awards For Outstanding Achievement for the year 2009 was bagged by IDE India for scaling up the production of the simple treadle pumps for irrigation that are lifting thousands of poor farmers in India out of poverty. (To read more click here)  

7) SCHWAB FOUNDATION OUTSTANDING SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR AWARD – 2008

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship provides unparalleled platforms at the regional and global level to highlight and advance leading models of sustainable social innovation. Mr. Amitabha Sadangi received the “Outstanding Social Entrepreneur Award” from Schwab foundation on 2008. (To read more click here)


8) AWARD FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY– 2006
The Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy, globally also called the Green Oscars was awarded to IDEI in the year 2006 for the outstanding contribution towards the upliftment of the small holder farmers by commercialising low-cost treadle pumps for irrigation along with Social returns. 9) ASHOKA CHANGE-MAKER FOR CREATING MARKET-BASED STRATEGIES THAT            BENEFIT LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES – 2006
 
Mr.Amitabha Sadangi, was selected as ‘Ashoka Change-Maker’ for the year 2006 for the most promising entrepreneur with most powerful ideas. (To read more click here)

10) SKOLL FOUNDATION AWARD FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP – 2005

Each year the Skoll Foundation presents the Awards for Social Entrepreneurship to a small number of social entrepreneurs who are solving the world’s most pressing problems. Mr.Amitabha Sadangi received this award in the year 2005 for the remarkable contribution in uplifting the lives of small holder farmers. (To read more click here)


11) THE ATLAS TEMPLETON FREEDOM PRIZE– 2005
 
The “Templeton Freedom Prize for Social Entrepreneurship” was awarded to International Development Enterprises India for their successful program to increase the income-generating potential of poor, rural Indian families by providing them with low-cost, effective irrigation systems. 12) MOST INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AWARD – 2005 (AMONGST TOP THREE)

In the year 2005 IDEI was in the top three finalists for The Global Development Awards for “Most Innovative Development Project” which was launched in the year 2000, it is a unique competition for promoting research on development. With the support of the Government of Japan, this competition seeks to unearth new talent and support innovative ideas on development. (To read more click here)


13) OUTSTANDING SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FELLOW IN 2004

IDEI received the fellowship in 2004 by The World Technology Network ("The WTN") which is a curated, global membership community comprised of the peer-selected, most innovative individuals and organizations in the science and technology world. (To read more click here)
